Met dit benefietdiner steunt Tribes Movement de Iku-volkeren (Arhuaco) in de Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia. Hun bioculturele praktijken herstellen gedegradeerde gebieden tot biodiverse bossen. Hun kennis wordt bedreigd door westerse educatiesystemen. Daarom stichtte gemeenschap Kwarte Umuke de Pluriversiteit Umunukunu op om de kennis van aarde, erfgoed en identiteit te behouden.

DINING FOR RECOVERY ANCESTRAL LAND
SATURDAY THE 15TH OF MARCH AT THE PLEIN-THEATER AMSTERDAM!!
With this fundraising dinner we are contributing to the Iku peoples (Arhuaco) who live in Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in the Colombian Caribbean. They live in harmony with nature since times immemorial, with their social biocultural practices they have brought back to fully biodiverse forest the erotionated lands that have been recovered from destructive industries. Nevertheless their valuable knowledge is under threat by western education systems. The community Kwarte Umuke has answered to this problem by founding a Pluriversity.
The Pluriversity / Umunukunu is initiated by Mamo Arwawiku to preserve Earth knowledge, to recover ancestral living territory, and to heal the mother by remembering who we are with Earth.
